MUSIC/GIRLCRUSH: DUA LIPA

The voice, the killer style, THOSE ABS. It's safe to say our girlcrush on Dua Lipa reached new heights this December. We're OBSESSED with her style, it's carefree yet super fashion forward. "New Rules" was the girl-power anthem of 2017 and we can't wait to see Dua take over in 2018!

FAVE TREND: WAIST BAGS

Here at TSU we love a good 90s throwback trend. Waist bags made a comeback this December as various celebrities and bloggers were seen sporting this trend. A sleek waist bag can add a cool factor to any outfit and who doesn't love the idea of not having shoulder pain as a result of a heavy purse?! Sign us up.

FAVE EVENT: CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE

This December we decided that we want to make it a mission as a company to give back to our community and do our best to help others in need. Being that it was Christmas time what better way to kick off our efforts than hosting a toy drive! We found an amazing organization, L.U.P.E., which helps the hispanic community in a variety of ways- from fighting deportation to providing English classes. Every year they host a Toy Drive for children of immigrant families so we decided we would offer a special discount to any customer that brought a toy to the store. We would like to thank every person that made a donation, it felt amazing to know we brought some joy to children whom otherwise would have had a tough Christmas. Can't wait to do it again next year!

We've been long-time admirers of Amy Lee. We've been subscribed to her YouTube channel for YEARS, so long that it feels like we know her in a weird/virtual way. Lately, her style has transformed into a more edgy streetstyle vibe and we're all about it! FAVE LOCAL SPOT: SHAKE EXPRESS

This month's fave local spot goes to our neighbors Shake Express! Everything on their menu is delicious AND nutritious. They have everything from protein coffee for those on-the-go mornings to detoxifying juices for when you eat too much junk food over the weekend and need to cleanse your body (and soul). Our personal favorites are their infamous Acai bowl and the Refresher juice ;) Check them out here.
